1971 Fischer – Larsen Match

Denver hosted the Bobby Fischer – Bent Larsen Quarter-Final World Champsionship match in 1971

 

The American Chess Magazine will be publishing an in depth article on the Match soon. It will be add it to this page once it comes out.

For now, here are some pictures relating to the event as well as autographs of other famous chess players.

 

The match took place at what today is Denver School of the Arts. Witnesses to the 1971 Match say the theatre looks exactly as they remember it back in 1971!
